For the 2024 Coca-Cola 600, the model is high on Chase Elliott, even though he's a +1200 longshot in the latest 2024 NASCAR at Charlotte odds. He's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. The son of NASCAR legend Bill Elliott broke into the NASCAR Cup Series as a 19-year-old and he made the postseason in his first seven full-time seasons, winning 18 races and even claiming the 2020 Cup championship.
In 2023, he missed seven races after suffering a broken leg in a skiing accident and failed to win a race for the first time 2017, missing the postseason entirely. However, he broke back into the win column in Fort Worth earlier this season and he's currently fourth in the NASCAR standings. Elliott added a third-place finish in his last start on a 1.5-mile oval in Kansas three weeks ago and he's led at least five laps in each of his last six starts at Charlotte, including leading 28 laps in the 2020 Alsco Uniforms 500 on his way to a win after starting 19th.
